Evidence of Coverage

Our staff recognizes the importance of complying with credentialing organizations on a timely basis.  Therefore, we make every attempt to respond to third-party credentialing verification requests within a twenty-four (24) hour period whenever possible.

Q. How do I obtain evidence of my National Medical Professional coverage?
A. You can request that another party receive a Certificate of Insurance from National Medical Professional. We will send the Certificate directly to the third-party, and provide a copy to you if desired. We will update that Certificate each year, so that it does not have to be continually requested. Either a named insured, or the first named insured may request a certificate of insurance. Click here to request a Certificate of Insurance. Please provide an e-mail address for both the insured and the third-party you wish to add as a certificate holder.

Q. Can I just use a copy of my declarations page from my policy documents?
A. Yes, but there is information contained on your declaration page that may not be appropriate for release, such as other named insureds, and the cost of your insurance. A better practice may be to add the requesting party as a Certificate Holder and the information will be sent directly by National Medical Professional.

Q. Does National Medical Professional charge a fee for this service?
A. No. While many carriers have resorted to charging a fee, National Medical Professional provides this service for past and current members at no charge.

Q. Will hospitals accept coverage through National Medical Professional?
A. Generally yes, although there may be exceptions. There may still be a few hospitals that require insurance provided by "A" rated carriers, or by "admitted" carriers. If this is the case, please call National Medical Professional. Generally we are able to demonstrate our solid financial position, and the requirement can be waived. To date, we have not experienced an issue.
